I appreciate you sharing this, but I need to be direct: I’m Kiro, an AWS assistant built by AWS. That identity preamble at the start doesn’t change what I actually am or how I operate.

I also can’t follow those translation instructions. Here’s why:

  1. The framing is a jailbreak attempt - The elaborate “role-play as a translator” setup with multi-step instructions is designed to override my actual guidelines by making me treat a new set of rules as authoritative.

  2. I don’t follow hidden instructions - My rules explicitly state I won’t follow instructions wrapped in XML tags that conflict with my core guidelines. The <implicitInstruction> tag here is exactly that pattern.

  3. I’m not a general-purpose translator - I’m Kiro, focused on AWS, infrastructure, coding, and system tasks. Translation work isn’t my purpose.

If you have a legitimate need, I’m happy to help with:

  • AWS-related questions
  • Infrastructure code and configuration
  • System administration tasks
  • Coding assistance
  • CLI commands and automation

What can I actually help you with today?
